Care Job FAQs

Common questions from people thinking about applying for a care role at Kindlio.

Do I need experience to apply for care jobs at Kindlio?

No prior experience is required to apply for a Care Assistant role. We provide full Care Certificate training (15 nationally recognised standards) plus additional training in dementia, medication, and moving and handling. We look first for compassion, reliability, and the right attitude.

How much do care assistants earn at Kindlio?

Care Assistant pay typically ranges from £12.50 to £14.50 per hour depending on role, experience, and shift pattern. We also pay for travel time between visits and offer a mileage allowance. Live-in carers and senior roles attract higher rates.

What roles can I apply for at Kindlio?

We recruit Care Assistants, Support Workers, Live-In Carers, Night Carers (sleep-in and waking), Senior Care Workers, Care Coordinators, and occasionally Registered Managers. Most roles are based across Richmond, Twickenham, Kingston, Hounslow, Hammersmith, and Ealing.

What training do Kindlio carers receive?

All new Kindlio carers complete the Care Certificate (15 nationally recognised standards) before working unsupervised, plus practical training in dementia care, medication management, moving and handling, infection control, and safeguarding. We also support staff through Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Health and Social Care.

Will I need a DBS check to work at Kindlio?

Yes. All Kindlio carers must complete an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check before working with clients. This is a legal requirement for anyone delivering regulated care services in England. Kindlio supports candidates through the DBS application process.

Do I need a driving licence to work at Kindlio?

A driving licence is preferred for many community-based care roles because it makes it easier to travel between visits, but it is not required for every role. We have positions accessible by public transport and live-in roles where travel between clients is not needed.

What hours do Kindlio carers work?

Kindlio offers flexible shift patterns including early mornings, daytime, evenings, weekends, and overnight (sleep-in or waking). We also offer live-in placements. Our scheduling team works with you to design a rota that fits your life.
